Daycare & Preschool Program

Welcome to the Building Blocks Academy Preschool Program! Our main day for 13-month-olds to 2½-year-olds runs from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with wrap hours from 7:30am to 8:30am.


The main day for the free universal preschool program for 3 and 4-year-olds in conjunction with the town of West Orange runs from 8:30am to 3:20pm. We also provide wrap hours from 7:30am to 8:30am ($160.00/month) and from 3:20pm to 5:30pm ($310.00/month).

Facility
We are very fortunate to have large sunlit classrooms, a 3000 square foot enclosed playground and over one acre of grassy play areas. We have a 3000 square foot indoor gymnasium/gross motor skills area that is used during inclement weather.

For our preschool classes, we are partnered with the town of West Orange to offer free childcare to residents. We also run before and after care for those classes

Educational Philosophy
During the early years, the development of children is unprecedented. We believe that children will construct knowledge through opportunity to discover for themselves and practice "hands on skills" in classroom situations. Self discovery is important because it gives children the opportunity to study things that are important and purposeful in their lives. By allowing children to learn using their own interests fosters motivation and stimulation. We believe that children who experience these two emotions will develop a strong sense of self esteem and desire to succeed.
To register, you will need to first come to our center and make a registration payment of $80.00 to receive a printed registration packet, which must be filled out/signed and given back to us at our facility.

All registration information is detailed in the Information Packet below. Please be sure to read the entire packet, and don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have. There will be no excuses for not knowing our policies.

Registration will NOT be accepted if previous balances are unpaid. You are not considered to be registered unless previous balances are paid, registration fees and program fees are paid, and your registration packet is completed.
